Abstract

A novel type of Rubpy-doped fluorescent nano-particles has been successfully synthesized and characterized. To prepare the nanoparticles, a simple and efficient method of water-in-oil(W/O) microemulsion[1] was applied and a silane reagent of 3-aminopropyl-trimethoxysilane (APTMS) was first time utilized which introduced primary amino groups to the surface of the nanoparticles by copolymerization reaction with TEOS. It was found that the nanoparticles exhibit excellent fluorescent properties such as extremely bright, highly photostable and chemicalstable. Furthermore, the nanoparticles utilized as a fluorescent marker applying in fluorescent immunoassay of mouse IgG were studied and good results were obtained.
